Remy is the heart and soul of Gold Rush Subaru, proudly serving as our Chief Morale Officer. With a tail that never stops wagging and an uncanny ability to sense when someone needs a little extra love, Remy brings joy, comfort, and a whole lot of personality to the showroom floor.

A natural leader in the art of tail-wag diplomacy, Remy is always the first to greet customers with a warm welcome (and sometimes a slobbery kiss). When not supervising test drives or attending staff meetings (usually from a cozy dog bed), you’ll find Remy lifting spirits, chasing tennis balls, or enjoying well-earned belly rubs from the team.

Whether you’re buying a new Subaru or just stopping in for a treat, Remy’s here to remind us all that a little kindness goes a long way—and that dogs really do make everything better.

Since joining Gold Rush Subaru in 2018, Troy has been proud to lead a team that’s as passionate about people as they are about cars. As General Manager, he is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring that Gold Rush Subaru remains a trusted name in the community.

A proud Placer High School alumnus, Troy has deep roots in the Auburn area and a strong connection to the local community. When not at the dealership, you’ll likely find Troy out on the water—kayaking, fishing, or simply enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors. An active member of the local community, he also takes pride in supporting local events, causes, and initiatives that make our area a better place to live and work.

With a deep appreciation for Subaru’s values and a genuine love for connecting with people, Troy is always happy to help customers find the perfect vehicle for their lifestyle—whether that includes weekend adventures or everyday drives.

Alex Sprock has been a key member of the Gold Rush Subaru family since 2020. As General Sales Manager, he brings a laid-back leadership style, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to helping customers find the right vehicle with zero pressure and all the support they need.

Known for his quick wit and calm presence under pressure, Alex keeps the sales team motivated and focused—while also making sure there’s plenty of room for laughs along the way. He’s a firm believer that good vibes and great service go hand in hand.

Outside the dealership, you’ll most likely find Alex on the golf course, out fishing, or perfecting the art of relaxation on his couch. He’s also an advocate for enjoying life to the fullest, however that looks—from tee time to downtime.

Jim Sturgis spent years ruling our sales floor with charm, wisdom, and an uncanny ability to sell just about anything to anyone—even a sunroof to someone who only drives at night. After a well-earned retirement (which we assume was just an elaborate plan to test out every golf course within a 100-mile radius), Jim realized he missed us more than he missed his 2 p.m. naps. So, like any classic rock band, he staged a comeback—this time as our Customer Experience Manager.

These days, Jim is the heartbeat of our showroom, making sure every customer leaves with a smile, a great story, and probably a dad joke or two. His dedication to creating memorable experiences is only matched by his love for his family, who he brags about more than his natural sales ability —and that’s saying something!!!!

Jim’s also been a mentor to many on our team, guiding new hires with patience, encouragement, and enough stories to fill a three-part autobiography. He’s the kind of guy who makes work feel a little more like home, and we’re lucky to have him (again).

My name is Jay Donovan and I'm one of the Sales Managers here at Gold Rush. I've been here for almost 8 years, and love being part of the Subaru Family. When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with my wife, and our new baby boy.

My name is Mike Carlson and I am the Internet Sales Director for Gold Rush Subaru and have been with Subaru for almost 15 years.

I am a single full time dad with 2 beautiful daughters and know more than I ever thought I would about nail painting, hair braiding & pedicures! In my off time I love spending time with my girls, am a huge sports fan, love to fish, and going to the beach. I have always been the class clown and love to laugh and make others laugh...buying a vehicle from me is fun!

Greetings, My name is Jesse and I am the Star Delivery Specialist here at Gold Rush Subaru! If you have any questions about how to use your car features, I am the one you call! I strive to ensure that you have a pleasant time learning about your car and I want you to feel at home with your Subaru! Speaking of home, I come from a big family, being number 10 out of 11 children! On my time off, I like to do a variety of things such as going on walks in the clear night sky or when the sun is setting. I also enjoy reading about new scientific discoveries, fiction novels, and listening to horror stories! Most of all, I enjoy a good laugh!

I’ve lived in Grass Valley for many years, having spent summers here before making it my home. I enjoy hiking and swimming at the beautiful Yuba River, being around animals, and appreciate the peaceful lifestyle this area offers. I’m proud to work at Gold Rush Subaru, where I truly enjoy my job and the supportive team I work with.

My name is Aimee and I am the receptionist for Gold Rush Subaru. This photo of me was taken during the Subaru Loves Pets adoption event in October of 2024. In my spare time I serve as a disaster service worker for NCSO, evacuating animals from active fire zones. I love being part of the Subaru family and our wonderful local community.
